WHAT FUN IT IS TO DOWNSIZE

These empty nesters knew it was time to leave their large family home and were  excited to downsize and create a new chapter in their lives.

The brief was to create a layout and zones incorporating existing furniture and accessories from the family home. The property is close to the beach, south facing and bathed in an abundance of natural light so it had to have a contemporary and relaxed style.

We referenced the location by incorporating natural finishes such as wood, rattan and linens.  To bounce light, we maintained cool colour tones and a light and an airy backdrop.  Muuch of the client’s existing furniture was curated together with new items and defined zoning helped the process of downsizing.
