One man and his bike

Creativity and personality was at the heart of this design.  The clients’ energy and enthusiasm for the project allowed us to create a unique, fun and exciting space.

The brief was to create an overlap of urban chique, industrial edginess with a splash of Paul Smith colour scheme.  Opportunities to reference the lifestyle of competitive cycling, travelling, classic cars and passion for design needed to be collated within what was originally a ground floor mews/garage.

Flexible spaces were key to this design.  A steel glass wall was installed to create separate zones so that a car could be parked inside if needed.  Otherwise, the space could be used as an office or guest bedroom.   We stripped back the apartment to its bare shell, exposing most of the 1900’s brick walls which added wonderful texture to the space.

We reconstructed the bathroom and kitchen and developed  a charming atrium situated in the middle of the apartment adding nature and light.
